Teaching speaking could be very challenging especially to your introverted students who would like to have their own little space where outsiders are not allowed in, that sometimes include even the teachers.

 

But artchers would not give up on such students. Today, we will discuss on how to teach speaking in a comfortable and aesthetic way.

 

First off, know your students' behaviour inside and outside the virtual world. I know some people who are very shy in person and transforms into a vocal person on the virtual world. If this is the case, this one strategy could help you.

 

Millennials surely love things that are aesthetic. Look how much effort they give to have an instagram-worthy picture of their OOTDs, food, parties and such. This is why we will be using Instagram as a platform in teaching Speaking.

 

So, we will use the approach of Blended Learning here. You, as an artcher must have a discussion of your chosen topic. For this, article let's use "Poetry."

 

To do this, instruct the students to choose a poem or even create their own. They must recite their chosen poem in the most artistic way they could. Their poem recitation should be video recorded and uploaded on Instagram, with a hsahtag of your choice.

 

This is a simple activity that could give enough time for introverted students to relax and perform with ease. 

 

We have asked an introverted 12th-grade student to do this and she was quite happy with the idea.
