5 acts on how to behave in the virtual world

"Have you ever wonder how things work on the internet? Does it work like in real life? What kind of behavior should an individual employ?"

We are living on the electronic age, an era where things happen both on the real world and the virtual world. We have our "twin" or "another self" in the internet world. We do not remember that what we post on the internet reflects who we are as real people. So, we may be asking, "How should I behave in the virtual world?"

HER ARE 5 ACTS ON HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD:

1.) BE WHO YOU ARE!

Be who you are. Don't show off or make an "artificial self." They might criticize you for being to "raw" or "transparent" but at least, it is yourself that matters

2.) BE CAUTIOUS WITH YOUR WORDS.

Do not use harmful and hurting words. Select carefully what you will post on the internet. REMEMBER: your posts reflect who you are as a person.

3.) AVOID PLAGIARISM.

Do not own something you did not do. Always remember to put credits so that the owner can get the praise he/she deserves. Remember to always mention the creator of the work you are to use. You just borrow it so better give the credits to its creator.

4.) BE SENSITIVE WITH YOUR POST.

You are not the only person in the virtual world. Many people can read what you post. Be sensitive especially to critical topics like religion, races, political issues and etc.

5.) AVOID CYBER-BULLYING.

Do not say foul words to someone whom did not achieve the standards of the world, who might not be good in English or might be financially unstable. They might be going through something. What if you were in their shoes? RESPECT AND UNDERSTAND.

These are some of the things you may practice in the internet world. Even though it is virtual, it can still be considered a world--full of people with feelings?
